Meet our Volunteer Ministry Team Leads

All our Ministry Leads are volunteers.

They help to support the elders and staff team by leading different areas of ministry in the life of the church. They serve by supporting the elders in the equipping of the saints for the ministry set before them.

Kids Team - Alisha

Alisha joined Cornerstone Church Wirral in 2021 and serves as our Kids Team Coordinator. She is passionate about seeing children grow in their love for Jesus as well as their understanding of the Bible, and equipping leaders to teach God’s story in creative ways.

Alisha is married to Gary, and they have a little boy. When Alisha isn’t making up actions to new kids worship songs or organising the next big Cornerstone Kids event, you can find her planning her next travelling adventure (which may or may not involve a Disney theme park!).

Worship Team - Jo

Jo moved to the Wirral in 2017 along with her husband Chris. Having moved around the country since marrying in 2010, they have loved settling in the Wirral with their three children.

Whilst at University in the North East Jo developed a love of music. She learnt how to play keys and began singing and leading worship in her Uni Christian Union. She enjoyed being a member of several different church music groups in each city she has lived in since then, and continues to enjoy serving as Worship Team Lead now. She longs to see the church grow in a love of God through sung worship; singing songs to glorify God together and encourage one another in the wonderful truths of the gospel through music.

In her spare time Jo enjoys working in the NHS, running, having days out in the countryside, camping and playing board games.

Audio Visual Team - Steven

Growing up in Derbyshire, Steven moved to Sheffield for a Masters degree in Chemistry. Liking the city and university so much he stayed there for a PhD and met his wife, Anna. A couple of cross country moves later and he settled on the edge of the Wirral with his wife in tow, eventually settling on the rural side with two lovely children and works as an Experimental Officer at the University of Liverpool. The family first came along to Cornerstone Wirral on the very first meeting back in 2013, and have made it their home ever since.

Steven’s passion for AV started at 14 when he was given control of the old school overhead projector. Moving to the soundboard at 16, he has taken on various roles within church tech over the years, from pulling cables, running cameras and operating sound: he has done it all.

When not in church, Steven likes to play board games, particular favourites being Power Grid and Race for the Galaxy.
